There are no specific environmental or genetic factors known except those discussed in the section on non-small cell lung cancer.

At Significantly Higher Risk 
• Cigarette smokers.
• Workers exposed to industrial substances such as asbestos, nickel, chromium compounds and 
  chloromethyl ether and/or air pollutants.
• Radon exposure.
